Retreat Terms, Conditions & Liability Waiver

By registering for or participating in any retreat hosted by deJoly ("Organizer"), you ("Participant") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Retreat Terms, Conditions & Liability Waiver.

1. Registration

Participants agree to provide complete and accurate registration information, including emergency contact information, medical conditions, allergies, dietary restrictions, and any other information reasonably requested by the Organizer before the retreat.

Participants also agree to attend the retreat on the dates, times, and schedule assigned by the Organizer for the retreat in which they are registered.

Failure to provide accurate information or required documentation may result in the Organizer refusing or canceling participation if it creates a safety concern or prevents participation.


2. Payment

Participants agree to pay all deposits, installment payments, and any remaining balances according to the payment option selected during registration.

Failure to make payments when due may result in suspension or cancellation of the Participant's reservation until the account is brought current.


3. Cancellation Policy

Due to the limited number of retreat spaces and the advance planning required, all deposits and payments are subject to the Organizer's published Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, Participants who cancel, withdraw, or fail to attend the retreat may forfeit all amounts previously paid in accordance with the applicable Cancellation & Refund Policy.

By completing registration, Participants acknowledge that they have reviewed and agreed to the Organizer's Cancellation & Refund Policy.


4. Travel Responsibilities

Participants are solely responsible for arranging and paying for their own:

Airfare

Passport and visa requirements (if applicable)

Ground transportation

Travel insurance

Travel documentation

Timely arrival and departure

Personal travel expenses

The Organizer is not responsible for airline delays, cancellations, visa denials, lost baggage, missed connections, transportation disruptions, or other travel-related interruptions.


5. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be required depending on the retreat location.

Participants are responsible for obtaining and maintaining their own travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical emergencies, emergency evacuation, baggage loss, flight delays, and personal belongings.


6. Medical Responsibility

Participants confirm they are physically, mentally, and emotionally able to participate in the retreat.

The Organizer does not provide medical care, medical advice, mental health treatment, counseling, or therapy.

Participants are responsible for bringing all required medications and notifying the Organizer of any medical conditions that may affect participation.

Any medical expenses incurred during the retreat remain the sole responsibility of the Participant.


7. Assumption of Risk

Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with travel, transportation, accommodations, outdoor activities, physical activities, weather conditions, illness, injury, theft, food allergies, delays, and other unforeseen events that may occur before, during, or after the retreat.


8. Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Participants release and hold harmless deJoly, its owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, affiliates, speakers, venue providers, and representatives from any claims, injuries, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from participation in the retreat, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.


9. Emergency Medical Treatment

Participants authorize the Organizer to obtain emergency medical treatment on their behalf if necessary and if they are unable to provide consent.

Participants accept full responsibility for all medical expenses, transportation costs, hospital charges, and related expenses.


10. Photography & Media Release

Unless Participants notify the Organizer in writing before the retreat begins, they grant permission for photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and other media captured during the retreat to be used by deJoly for educational, promotional, advertising, marketing, website, social media, and other business purposes without additional compensation.

Participants who do not wish to appear in promotional materials must notify the Organizer in writing before the retreat begins.


11. Code of Conduct

Participants agree to:

Treat all participants with respect.

Respect personal boundaries.

Maintain the confidentiality of personal stories shared during the retreat.

Refrain from illegal drug use.

Avoid excessive intoxication.

Follow all reasonable instructions provided by the Organizer.

Help create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all attendees.


12. Removal

The Organizer reserves the right to remove any Participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, intoxicated, illegal, or otherwise interferes with the retreat experience.

Removal from the retreat does not entitle the Participant to any refund.


13. Personal Property

The Organizer is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings, including luggage, electronics, jewelry, cash, passports, travel documents, or other valuables.

Participants are solely responsible for safeguarding their belongings throughout the retreat.


14. Changes

The Organizer reserves the right to modify retreat schedules, speakers, facilitators, activities, accommodations, transportation, meals, or locations when reasonably necessary due to operational needs, safety concerns, weather conditions, vendor availability, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Such changes do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.


15. Force Majeure

The Organizer shall not be responsible for cancellations, delays, interruptions, or changes resulting from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, war, terrorism, transportation disruptions, labor strikes, utility outages, or other unforeseen events.


16. Confidentiality

Participants agree to respect the privacy of all attendees and not disclose or share personal stories, discussions, coaching conversations, photographs, videos, or confidential information shared during the retreat without that individual's permission.


17. Health Release

Participants certify that all health information provided is accurate and complete and agree to notify the Organizer of any significant changes before the retreat begins.


18. Participant Acknowledgment

Participants understand that this retreat is intended for educational, personal development, coaching, and experiential purposes.

Participation is voluntary, and each Participant is solely responsible for their own decisions, actions, health, safety, and well-being before, during, and after the retreat.

The Organizer does not guarantee any specific personal, emotional, financial, business, or life outcomes from participating in the retreat.


19. Intellectual Property

All retreat materials, presentations, workbooks, recordings, journal prompts, exercises, templates, frameworks, and educational content remain the exclusive intellectual property of deJoly.

Participants may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, teach, license, or otherwise use these materials without the Organizer's prior written permission.


20. Governing Law

These Retreat Terms, Conditions & Liability Waiver shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state or country in which deJoly's business is legally established.


21. Severability

If any provision of these Retreat Terms, Conditions & Liability Waiver is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.


22. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for a retreat, submitting payment, or checking the acceptance box during checkout, Participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Retreat Terms, Conditions & Liability Waiver.
